Bridezilla’s List of 29 ‘Very Strict’ Rules for Wedding Guests is Terrifying

Guests must be wondering how they can enjoy themselves in any form after reading this list of 29 ‘very strict’ rules issued by this Bridezilla. The list strives to control everyone’s behavior. Will anyone even attend?

Bridezilla Decides She Needs to Control Her Wedding Guests

Calling this 23-year-old bride-to-be a Bridezilla might sound mean, but you might agree it’s an apt term after you read the list of demands she developed for her wedding guests that would make a wicked stepmother shake her head.

While every bride wants their wedding day to go off without a hitch, this 23-year-old decided hers needed some rules to ensure her guests behaved “correctly” throughout her big day. She sat down with her fiancé and presented him with her ideas, she revealed on Reddit.

“At that time, we hadn’t discussed the rules yet, we just knew it would be very strict,” the bride said. “Me and my fiancé carefully chose the rules and in total there was about 30 rules.”

“Me and my fiancé also decided we would only invite the closest of closest family and friends (which would be around 70 relatives and friends at the wedding),” the bride continued. “My fiancé worked on finding a nice beach to have our wedding in and I worked on making every invitation by hand. The invitation cards included every rule.”

But the bride was apparently clueless about how over-demanding her list of rules was.

“The reason for that [the rules] is because although the wedding is very short, it’s very important,” the bride added. Although she called it short, it was a three-hour event. “Me and my fiancé told all our families and friends we would be having a lot of rules and they all assured us they were fine with it.”

However, when some of her future guests saw the rules and requirements she was demanding, they voiced their complaints and many said they’d turn down her invitation unless she revoked the strict rules. Thing is, this Bridezilla wasn’t having it.

“I tried explaining to them that we are working on it but they don’t stop talking about it even sometimes behind my back,” the bride explained. “They always make harmful jokes about it and the one time I stand up for myself they call me pathetic and that it was all me and my fiancé’s fault.”

Despite the complaints, and presumably ignoring them, the bride and her 25-year-old fiancé ultimately whittled the list down to 29 “very strict” rules they expected their guests to follow from start to finish.

“We expected our families to be happy and excited about our wedding but instead we got a lot of backlash,” she added.

Once you see the list of rules you’ll understand why.
