Having your skin look good is always a must. You want the dewy, glowy skin that looks like it has a filter on it in real life. Here are 10 skincare steps for a glowing complexion!
Use an Oil Cleanser
An oil cleanser is a great way to get any grime and build-up off your face. These cleansers are great at holding onto grease, make-up, and sunscreen. Oil attracts oil, after all.
Use a Water-Based Cleanser
Double-cleansing is necessary in Korean skincare. You have got to make sure that you get all the dirt off your face. Water-based cleansers attack dirt, grime, and sweat. So pretty much they get anything that the first oil-based cleanser misses. Go ahead, double-cleanse. Your face will thank you!
Exfoliate
Exfoliation probably shouldn’t be done every day. It is really important to make sure you read the directions on whatever exfoliant you are using, so you know how often you should put it on your face. If you do this step too much, it will do more harm than good. That’s why it is important to know the perfect timeline for using an exfoliant. You want your face to glow and not become red or bumpy.
Use a Toner
When you think of toner, you probably think of the ones you used as a teenager that burnt your skin. Nowadays, there are gentler choices that actually amp up the hydration and don’t strip it down. Using a toner is a great idea because they can also balance your skin and pH level. Try toners again and your face will thank you.
Use an Essence
Using an essence and a toner might seem redundant, but they actually do different things. Essences bring on hydration after your toner balances your skin (yes, toners can hydrate too, but they do it differently than essences). There are different benefits to each, but an essence might be more concentrated and have different ingredients that can be lacking from a toner.
Use Serums and Ampoules
Serums and ampoules deeply penetrate the skin. Some of them are thicker than others, so remember to do lighter to heavier when applying them. Pick a good serum that hydrates, calms, or brightens to help you get that glowy skin you have always dreamed of.
Use Eye Cream
Some might say eye creams are not necessary. But if it makes you happy to use one, then use one. Make sure you target the actual problem that you have in your eye area. This could be under-eye bags, dark circles, or dryness. It is also important to patch test and lightly apply your under-eye cream because the area is extremely sensitive.
Use a Moisturizer
Even though you have already gotten hydration from other steps in the skincare process, it is still important to moisturize. This step should never be missed because it can help with the texture of your skin. Moisturizer will help with the glow of your skin and take it to the next level.

For Night: Masks
Do you want something extra to make your skin look amazing? If the answer is yes, then you should use a sleeping mask. A sleeping mask should be put on right before bed and worn overnight so you can get all the benefits out of it. I usually use this as a last step in my nighttime routine, but some people do their whole skincare routine after putting a mask on. It just depends on what you prefer.

For Day: Sunscreen
This step should never be skipped! You need to protect your skin from the sun and all the damage it brings with it. Sunscreen will do just that and have your face feeling good too. Always do this before you go outside and it will be the final step to your glowy skin.
