10 Physical Activities That Don’t Feel Like Exercise

Not everyone loves to work out. But there are ways to move your body without counting reps. Some physical activities just don’t feel like exercise. Here are 10 examples.

Dancing is undoubtedly a physical activity, and yet dancing at a wedding is pretty great, isn’t it? That is because dancing doesn’t feel like exercise. Get lost in the music, find your rhythm, and always dance like nobody is watching! You will burn calories easily when you do your favorite dance moves.

Going for a hike is like going on an adventure! You climb up hills and step over roots and rocks. This might not sound like a lot of fun but it usually is when you are in a group, just enjoying nature. Go outside and hike your favorite trail! It won’t feel like exercise at all.

Gardening might not seem like it is a lot of effort, but it sure is! You plant different plants, lay down different soils, and pull weeds. Even if you are just watering your plants, depending on how many you have, that might be some exercise. The bending and pulling are enough to make anyone break into a sweat! And all the while, you’re making your yard look beautiful!

The more you cycle, the more your body will thank you.

Swimming gives you a full-body workout, without feeling like you are doing a full-body workout. Swimming laps in the pool are a great source of exercise and test your endurance. Not feeling like swimming laps? That’s okay, you can play in the pool too and get some exercise as well.

Playing with your pet not only gives them exercise but also gives you exercise too! Throw a ball around, play fetch with a frisbee, or even have fun chasing each other — these are all sorts of physical activities you can do with your furry friend. Free exercise with your pet? What’s not to love about that?

Group Fitness Classes

Group fitness classes are the perfect way to amp up the fun when you are exercising. You are not doing your physical activity alone, so it might seem more manageable to do some of the harder moves. You can feed off the energy of the other people in the class and try to keep up with them. This creates some friendly competition, which might motivate you to go to more classes.

You also never know what beautiful sights you may see on your tour. That’s learning, sights, and exercise all in one!
