NBA Fans Send Prayers to Steph Curry After Family Tragedy

Warriors Star Mourns Passing of Grandmother Candy Adams

Steph Curry is feeling the love from fans around the world following the passing of his beloved grandmother, Candy Adams. The news was shared by his mother, Sonya Curry, in a heartfelt Instagram tribute earlier this week.

“Heaven gained an angel, and we lost our heart,” Sonya wrote. “Today we say goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A woman who taught us to love fiercely, laugh often, and keep family at the center of everything.”

Sonya’s touching message described Adams as the heart of their family. A source of wisdom, strength, and unconditional love. She closed her tribute with a quote from Luther Vandross:

“A house is not a home when there’s no one there to hold you tight.”

“You were our home and now your love lives in all of us,” she added. “Rest easy now, we’ll carry you with us, always. ❤️ I love you Mommy.”

Curry Enters Season 17 with Heavy Heart

The loss comes as Steph Curry, now 37, prepares for his 17th NBA season with the Golden State Warriors. Despite the emotional blow, Curry remains focused on the game and his leadership role, both on and off the court.

Curry is coming off another strong season, earning yet another All-Star selection and continuing to cement his legacy as one of the greatest shooters in NBA history.

While the Warriors star has yet to comment publicly, the overwhelming support from fans makes one thing clear, he won’t face this difficult time alone.
