Travelers and workers at this Honolulu airport say it’s haunted by the ghost of a woman dubbed the “Lady in waiting.” According to the legend, after being jilted by her fiancé, who left her after boarding an international flight, she took her own life shortly after. Now, she’s seen roaming the airport, hoping for his return.
18. USS Lexington, Corpus Christi, Texas
Several U.S. Navy ships have used the name USS Lexington. The aircraft carrier (CV-2) was sunk in 1942, and (CV-16) took its place and name. At least 59 sailors died during battles. Now a museum, many staff and visitors report seeing uniform-clad ghosts and hearing strange noises. Every October, the ship hosts a ghost tour and a haunted house event.
17. Shoshone Ice Caves, Idaho
Discovered in the 1800s, the longest lava tube in Idaho forms a cave spanning four and a half miles. Visitors to the caves have reported numerous paranormal activities.
