I can’t be the only hard core Aldi fan. Their prices are low, their quality is fantastic, and you never know what surprises you’ll leave with after you visit the so-called Aisle of Shame! We’ve rounded up our favorite must-grab Aldi products here, as well as some general goodies to look out for.

Street corn is absolutely delicious. So Aldi having it in a dip form piques my interest. This dip is made from fire-roasted corn, cilantro, and red chili and is mixed in with mayo, sour cream, and three different kinds of cheeses. Yum!

Avocado oil might be something simple to buy, but it sure is great when bought from Aldi. You can make dressings and marinades with this oil or sauté and grill with it. There are so many things you can do with avocado oil and the price is right at Aldi.

I love cheesy bread. It is one of my favorite things to eat! So, knowing that you can make your own cheesy breadsticks at home is heaven to my ears. Just look at all that cheese! It looks so tasty.

This might be a product at another store (I am not naming names), but this version is just as good as any other version. Everything bagel seasoning is delicious and can go on a variety of items. This seasoning is a little over two bucks, making it cheaper than other versions.

Sometimes, the best way to get some fruit in your life is to eat it with dark chocolate. I am not a huge banana fan, but these look good! Mix the world of produce with chocolate, and you get a winning combination.

Lobster rolls are tasty! So imagine my surprise when I found out there was a Lobster Roll Dip. This dip will combine your love of seafood with your love of dip. What a magical thing!

Sparkling water takes your water intake up a level. You get the bubbles of the sparkling part and the fruity taste. One sparkling water is a little over one dollar! You can’t beat that price.

Chicken just tastes better without antibiotics. Never Any! is a brand that promises to give you only the freshest meat with none of the bad stuff to come along with it. This chicken comes in at a little over 8 dollars, which is amazing! Meat is never that cheap.

While not as extensive as other grocery stores, Aldi’s produce section offers all the basics most people need with prices that beat Walmart on many items. For example, a 10-pound bag of Wisconsin-grown russet potatoes sells for $5.99 – two bucks cheaper than Walmart. Organic Chiquita bananas sell for what you pay for non-organic bananas at other stores.

Consumer demand has driven stores to offer more organic products. Aldi competes with the best by carrying a wide selection of organic and/or non-GMO packaged items, as well as produce. Check out Aldi’s private label Simply Nature. A 12-ounce bag of organic, non-GMO granola cereal sells for $2.65. A 14-ounce bag of organic, non-GMO cashews is priced at $8.09.

Some states restrict wine sales in grocery stores, but where it’s legal, Aldi features a respectable selection of quality wines at bargain prices. For example, one store featured nearly 40 brands of white, red, rose, and sparkling wines with most priced between $5 and $10 a bottle. Try Aldi’s private label Winking Owl. Its Moscato sells for $3.45.

Cheese lovers take note: Aldi is the place for cheese. You’ll find Gouda, Camembert, Brie, Asiago, several varieties of goat cheese, and more international fare. For example, Aldi brand Emporium Selection offers an 8-ounce package of Habenero Jack that sells for $1.99. A 6-ounce wedge of Gouda goes for $3.59.

You can find high-quality and organic coffees for much less at Aldi’s. Aldi’s Barrisimo brand coffee competes with the best beans available. A 12-ounce bag of Fair Trade-certified dark roast ground coffee sells for $3.95, about half what you’ll pay for similar coffee on Amazon. Organic Fair Trade, non-GMO whole bean coffee goes for $6.19.

5. Olive Oil

Healthier eating, and diets such as the Mediterranean diet, rely on olive oil. If you’re looking for high-quality olive oil at bargain prices, Aldi’s is the place to shop. For example, a 16.9-ounce bottle of Carlini brand olive oil sells for only $3.49. The same brand and size in the extra-virgin variety goes for $5.09.

Aldi is a mecca for chocolate lovers. You’ll find a wide variety of some of the finest chocolate anywhere, with most produced in Germany, Belgium, and Austria. One of the top Aldi brands for chocolate is Choceur. A huge 200-gram (7 ounces) dark chocolate and hazelnut bar sells for $2.49. An 11-ounce box of milk chocolate-covered almonds goes for $3.99.

3. Canned Soup

One area of culinary staples that Aldi excels in is its wide offerings of soups. It’s Aldi’s Deutsche KĂĽche brand soup comes in 28-ounce cans and sells for $2.89. That price is on par with the much smaller 18.5-ounce cans of Progresso soup. Aldi’s varieties include harvest potato, harvest vegetable, hearty pea, German bean, and more.

Aldi’s Specially Selected brand of imported jasmine rice sells at $5.59 for a 5-pound bag. Compare that to Amazon and other stores and you’ll note Aldi’s price is significantly less. Jasmine Rice is great as a side dish. Consider adding a touch of lime juice and some chopped fresh cilantro. It also makes an excellent base for stir-fries.

Ice cream lovers take note: Aldi features a wide variety of ice cream at prices that slay the competition. For example, a 48-ounce carton of Sea Salt Caramel ice cream by Aldi’s Sundae Shoppe brand sells for $3.19. It’s hard to find a lower price for any brand at any store.
