Push-ups are great because they work out your whole body! There is not a muscle that isn’t being used when doing those push-ups. If you have trouble doing regular ones, you can start out pushing up from your knees. This will be a little easier than the standard way and hey, you have got to start somewhere! There is no shame in starting out in a knee position.

Who said you needed weights to get toned arms? No one! To do arm raises, you start with your arms at your side. Then you reach them up and out, with your palms facing up. You can do this inside, outside, wherever you please! No equipment required!

Sit-Ups

Sit-ups can be really hard. They work out your abs in the best way possible. You can sit all the way up to work out your whole core or you can do crunches, which keep you mostly on the floor. Either way, you are going to get some serious ab workouts. Weak abs don’t stand a chance against sit-ups!

Yoga has no rules as to where you can do it. You do need a yoga mat for the best comfort while doing your poses. But that is easy to take with you! Yoga can be done at the beach, the gym, on a farm – there is no limit to where you can do a good stretch session! You can end up working out your whole body by doing different poses.

Squats help strengthen your lower body and your abdominal area. If you want to burn serious calories, then you should do some squats! They really do a lot for you because you use some of the larger muscles in your body to complete them. Get your burn on with squats!

Now, using dumbbells might seem like something you can only do at the gym. Nah! You can use them right in the middle of your living room while you are watching your favorite shows on television. It might be harder to lug them around in your car, but they are portable and easy to bring places. Do your dumbbell presses wherever you want, no one is judging!

Arch ups are pretty simple. You take can do the easy version, which is just putting your arms by your side and arching your back up. If you want a more complex way to do arch ups, then you can raise your arms in front of you and raise your feet at the same time. You will be working your core out and more muscles by doing it that way.

Plank

Planking is not an easy exercise, but it is one you can do anywhere. You just hold your body up via your arms and toes. I personally shake a lot when I plank because you are using a lot of muscles in your body. That’s probably not how a strong person planks, but at least I am trying.

Jumping Jack
