The top-of-the-line Tesla Cybertruck model, called the “Cyberbeast,” features a tri-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) system. This gives the Cyberbeast exceptional power and performance, allowing it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds. That’s on par with racing cars, making Cyberbeast the fastest truck available. In addition, the tri-motor setup enhances traction and handling for tackling off-road terrain with ease.

19. Impressive Towing Capacity

The towing capacity of the top-selling regular-duty trucks ranges from a low of 12,000 pounds (Toyota Tundra) to a high of 14,000 pounds (Ford F-150). The Tesla Cybertruck matches the highest with a towing capacity of up to 14,000 pounds. This makes the Cybertruck suitable for a wide range of heavy-duty tasks, from hauling trailers to towing boats.

18. Unique Exoskeleton Design

The angular, futuristic look of the Tesla Cybertruck is due to its unique exoskeleton design made from ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless steel. It’s the same material used in SpaceX’s rockets, which provides exceptional durability and strength. According to Elon Musk, the design of the Cybertruck was inspired by the film Blade Runner.

17. Shatter-Resistant Armor Glass

The windows are made from Tesla Armor Glass, which provides better protection against impacts and accidents. This multi-layered polymer composite is designed to absorb and redirect impact forces. Elon Musk demonstrated the strength of the glass during its unveiling. He attempted to break the glass with a metal ball, which was partially successful but still showcased the material’s impressive durability.

16. Impressive Range

The Cybertruck delivers a range of up to 500 miles on a single charge with the tri-motor version. This puts the Cyberbeast among the top five longest-range electric vehicles. This is due to Tesla’s efficient design and advanced battery technology. This gives Cybertruck the ability to undertake long trips without the need to recharge frequently.

15. Adjustable Air Suspension

Another unique feature of Cybertruck is its adjustable air suspension system, which can provide up to 16 inches of ground clearance. This allows the driver to raise or lower the vehicle depending on the terrain. The adjustable air suspension system enhances off-road capability and ride comfort. Additionally, adjustable suspension helps with loading and unloading cargo and other uses.

14. Bulletproof Body Panels

Some say the Cybertruck’s futuristic design is straight out of Mad Max, and to that end, its body panels were designed to be bulletproof against small arms fire. A test by Hooniverse, with various-sized rounds, showed that “almost no rounds have penetrated the passenger compartment.” Still, this ability is not certified.

13. Spacious Interior

The Cybertruck has two front seats and three in the back, but it can seat six. The interior has a minimalist design but ample storage space. There’s a large 18.5-inch touch-screen display in the front that handles most vehicle controls, including climate and media. The rear seat features a 9.4-inch touch-screen for passengers in the back row.

12. Solar Charging Option

Tesla announced a forthcoming solar charging option for the Cybertruck. This option will embed solar panels into the truck’s retractable tonneau bed cover. According to reports, the solar panels will add up to 15 miles of range per day, depending on sunlight conditions. At present, it is unclear when the solar panels will be available.

11. Innovative Bed Design

Cybertruck has a versatile and secure bed design, which is known as the “vault.” The 6.5-foot-long bed has 67 cubic feet of storage and a retractable and lockable cover. The bed is illuminated with LED strips on each side and contains a storage area below the deck. There are 120V and 240V AC power outlets and a compressed air system.

10. Advanced Autopilot Features

The Cybertruck features Tesla’s advanced Autopilot, which uses cameras to monitor the surrounding area to assist with driving. Autopilot maintains and adjusts speed, maintains a set following distance, and provides warnings. If there is no response to the warnings, Autopilot disengages and becomes unavailable for the remainder of the drive. The 12.5 release will give Cybertruck Full Self-Driving (FSD).

9. High-Performance Heat Pump

The Cybertruck is equipped with a high-performance heat pump that manages the vehicle’s thermal systems, which reduces the amount of energy the vehicle’s HVAC system uses by 50% compared to a resistive heater. The advanced heat pump technology, particularly in extreme temperatures, can maintain optimal battery performance. This helps extend the vehicle’s range while enhancing passenger comfort.

8. Cyberquad ATV Compatibility

In November 2019, Tesla unveiled its Cyberquad, an electric all-terrain vehicle (ATV) that can be charged directly from the Cybertruck’s bed. In 2021, Tesla released a scaled-down Cyberquad for Kids (Model 914) mini-ATV designed for children and limited to 10 mph. However, Cyberquad for Kids is available, but a full-size model for adults has yet to be offered for sale.

7. Rapid Charging Capabilities

The Cybertruck is compatible with Tesla’s Supercharger network, which provides rapid charging capabilities. Using the V3 Superchargers, the Cybertruck can gain up to 75 miles of range in only 5 minutes of charging time. This rapid charging capability makes long-distance travel a possibility for Cybertruck owners and substantially reduces downtime during charging.

6. Low Center of Gravity

Cybertruck’s self-leveling suspension compensates for variable load weights. It has up to 12 inches of suspension travel and 17.4 inches of ground clearance. The placement of the Cybertruck’s battery pack within the chassis provides a low center of gravity, which further enhances handling and stability. This greatly reduces the risk of rollovers, particularly at high speed and off-road.

5. Enhanced Safety Features

The greatest focus on details in Cybertruck’s design is attention to safety. Cybertruck’s structure is reinforced and includes multiple crumple zones. There are also advanced driver-assistance systems. In combination, these features provide superior protection for occupants during a collision. Overall, all of Tesla’s vehicles have consistently received high safety ratings.

4. Futuristic Dashboard Design

The result of Tesla’s minimalist design for the Cybertruck is a clean and modern appearance that is very futuristic. The dashboard is constructed from a marble-like material known as “paper composite.” This unique material is lightweight yet durable while being eco-friendly. The dashboard holds the 18.5-inch touch-screen display, providing access to all vehicle controls and infotainment options.

3. Off-Road Capabilities

The Cybertruck was designed to excel in off-road conditions. It features Off-Road Mode, which opens up additional settings and drive modes for handling different terrain. This includes Overland (low speeds), Baja (high speeds), Wade Mode (to protect from water), Trail Assist (maintaining speed), and Locking Differentials (increase traction). Extract mode raises the truck to its tallest suspension.
