When buying food, organic is just better for you. You can get the nutrients you need in a pesticide-free way that is better for the environment. What’s not to like? Here are 10 foods you should always buy organic.

Strawberries seem to have a great deal of pesticides left on them. If you don’t buy organic, then you are ingesting those pesticides. No one wants those chemicals in their bodies! It is best to buy your strawberries organic so you can eat what you want and none of what you don’t want.

Spinach usually has a pesticide called permethrin in it, which is a neurotoxin. Spinach has more pesticide residue by weight (even if spinach does not weigh a lot). It is better to buy your spinach organic so you can not have this neurotoxin in your body. Neurotoxins are poisons that act on the nervous system.

Grapes have a couple of different pesticides in them. If you don’t buy organic, you could be exposing yourself to harmful chemicals. Think about that the next time you grab a handful of grapes. Or save yourself a headache and buy them fresh and organic.

Peaches are riddled with pesticides. You don’t want to bite into a juicy peach or make a peach cobbler knowing that you could have bought them organic and you didn’t. Four pesticides don’t belong in your body.

Pears have been tested for pesticides and the conclusion was they are full of them. Some of them had five or more pesticides in them! That is quite a lot. Make sure you get organic pears to save yourself from health issues in the future.

Kale, collards, and mustard greens are full of pesticides. They have maybe the most pesticides found in foods. Kale has been known to have DCPA in it, which is a pesticide that is considered a human carcinogen by the EPA. Help prevent your risk for cancer and buy your kale, collards, and mustard greens organic.

Apples can contain two different pesticides on them. No one wants to take a bite out of an apple pie and have it contaminate their insides. It is best to buy your apples organic because they will prevent you from having to deal with health issues in the future.

Bell Peppers and Hot Peppers

Bell peppers should be bought organically because they could have more antioxidants and vitamins than those that are grown with pesticides. The pesticides hide in their skin, and their skin isn’t thick enough to keep them out. They can also be toxic to human health, so it is best to stay organic with bell peppers.
