WNBA 2025 All-Star Snubs
The full roster for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game has finally dropped, but not everyone is celebrating. While stars like Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, and A’ja Wilson headline the event, some standout performers are noticeably missing—and fans aren’t staying quiet.
With Clark and Napheesa Collier set to draft their squads on Tuesday, debates are heating up online over who should have made the cut. Here are the four biggest snubs from this year’s All-Star lineup.
Four biggest snubs from this year’s WNBA All-Star lineup.
4. Alanna Smith – Minnesota Lynx
Smith is a defensive anchor for the league-best Minnesota Lynx. Her 2.5 blocks per game are tied for the most in the WNBA alongside MVP A’ja Wilson. Even with Collier and Courtney Williams repping Minnesota, many feel Smith has earned her place.
3. Azurá Stevens – Los Angeles Sparks
Stevens is averaging 14.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, and shooting nearly 39% from deep on high volume. The veteran forward is having the best year of her career, yet somehow still hasn’t received her first All-Star call.
2. Brittney Sykes – Washington Mystics
Despite averaging a career-best 17.9 points, 11th in the league, Sykes was left off the roster while her rookie teammates made it. Fans and analysts alike are stunned the Mystics’ leading scorer didn’t get the nod.
1. Brionna Jones – Atlanta Dream
A three-time All-Star, Jones is putting up 14 points and 8.1 rebounds per game in her first season with the Atlanta Dream. She ranks just behind Angel Reese in offensive rebounds and has helped power the Dream to an 11–7 record.
Even Atlanta GM Dan Padover was baffled by her omission, calling it “one of the most ridiculous things I’ve seen in quite some time.”
With the All-Star Game fast approaching on July 19, the snubbed stars may still have a shot as replacement players. But fans still question these omissions.
