Why We All Love Tyreek Hill

The Indianapolis Colts may have backtracked, but Tyreek Hill isn’t losing any sleep over it. The Miami Dolphins wide receiver once again showed why fans admire him—not just for his speed, but for his attitude.

As part of their 2025 schedule release, the Colts shared a Minecraft-themed video. One clip showed a dolphin wearing Hill’s jersey getting “arrested” by the U.S. Coast Guard. It was a light jab referencing a real-life moment from last season, when Hill was pulled over by police and temporarily handcuffed before the Dolphins’ season opener.

The Colts later deleted the video and issued an apology, saying the video “exceeded our rights with Microsoft and included an insensitive clip.”

“We sincerely apologize to Microsoft and Tyreek,” the team said in a statement.

Tyreek Hill Takes It Like a Pro

Hill didn’t just shrug it off, he actually shared the video on X (formerly Twitter) and said it was funny.

“Should’ve left it up @Colts this was funny,” he posted.

That’s the kind of reaction that makes Hill such a fan favorite. He’s no stranger to controversy or pressure, but he knows when to laugh at himself.

In fact, Tyreek Hill had already made light of the arrest last season. Just hours after being detained, he scored a touchdown and mimicked the arrest in his celebration. That moment turned a serious incident into a memorable play, and now, a running joke among fans.

Fans React With Love

Fans on social media praised Hill for his sense of humor and mature response. In an era where athletes are often quick to respond negatively, Tyreek Hill took the high road, and made people laugh in the process.

His reaction not only saved the Colts from more backlash. But also reminded fans why Hill remains one of the most entertaining and unpredictable players in the league. Whether he’s burning defenders or clapping back with jokes, Hill knows how to keep the spotlight without taking himself too seriously.

With the Dolphins and Colts set to open the 2025 NFL season, this moment adds a fun backstory to what’s sure to be an exciting game.
