‘A Beautiful Human Being’: Travis Kelce’s Teammate Praises Taylor Swift’s Kindness

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are no strangers to headlines, but this offseason, the couple has kept things quieter than usual. After a whirlwind 2023 filled with Super Bowl success and global Eras Tour travels, fans expected more of the same. However, following the Kansas City Chiefs’ loss in Super Bowl LIX, things have slowed down; at least publicly.

But behind the scenes, it seems the relationship between Kelce and Swift is stronger than ever. In fact, one of Kelce’s Kansas City teammates just added to the growing list of people praising the pop icon, not for her music, but for her kindness and humility.

Trey Smith Says Taylor Swift Is ‘Super Thoughtful’

Appearing recently on the New Rory and Mal podcast, Chiefs offensive lineman Trey Smith had glowing words for Taylor Swift, calling her “a beautiful human being.”

“She’s awesome. She’s super nice, she’s thoughtful, she’s kind,” Smith said. “She remembered my name, my sister’s name, after meeting us months earlier.”

That level of personal attention clearly left an impression. Smith emphasized that it wasn’t about her fame or celebrity status—it was about how genuine she is as a person.

“The biggest thing is just how nice of a person she is.”

Chiefs Locker Room Loves Taylor Swift

This isn’t the first time Chiefs players have shown love for Swift. Head coach Andy Reid, who has known her since childhood, previously shared that Swift baked treats for the team when they were on the road last season. Even as Kelce and Swift became one of the most talked-about couples in sports and entertainment, the reaction inside the Chiefs’ locker room has been nothing but supportive.

With Travis Kelce shifting his focus toward another Super Bowl run, fans have seen less of the couple in public. After rumors swirled about a possible retirement, many believed Kelce might hang up his cleats if Kansas City won it all again. But the Super Bowl LIX loss appears to have reignited his competitive fire.

A Low-Key Offseason, But No Signs of Trouble

Though Kelce and Swift have been more low-key lately, sources close to the team suggest there’s no trouble in paradise. Instead, both stars are simply focusing on their individual careers. For Kelce, that means preparing to help the Chiefs reclaim their title. For Swift, it may mean time away from the public spotlight now that her Eras Tour is over.

Still, when the 2025 NFL season kicks off, you can expect “Swift Watch” to return in full force, especially when Kansas City takes the field.

One thing is clear: Taylor Swift has earned the respect of Travis Kelce’s teammates. And as long as she’s around, she’ll continue to be more than just a superstar, she’s part of the Chiefs family.
