Tim Tebow Calls for Prayers for Human Trafficking Awareness Day

Tim Tebow, former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner, is once again using his platform for something far bigger than sports. On Wednesday, July 30, the World Day Against Human Trafficking, Tebow took to social media to deliver a powerful message, and a heartfelt call to prayer.

While many still associate him with football and baseball, Tebow has spent recent years focusing on his true passion: fighting human trafficking. Through the Tim Tebow Foundation, he and his wife, Demi-Leigh Tebow—a former Miss Universe and now a new mom—have committed themselves to rescuing and protecting victims of exploitation.

“I don’t know if we’ll ever win the war against human trafficking and child sexual exploitation in this lifetime,” Tebow posted. “But I know Who wins one day. And until that day comes, we’ll keep fighting to rescue one more.”

A Crisis Hiding in Plain Sight

Tebow shared the brutal reality behind the cause. An estimated 50 million people worldwide are currently trapped in trafficking, including children, women, and men. He called the $236 billion industry a crisis that isn’t just about numbers, but real lives.

“This crisis isn’t about stats, it’s about sons and daughters of God, hidden in plain sight, being bought and sold,” he wrote.

What’s more disturbing is that this isn’t a problem confined to faraway places. According to Tebow, human trafficking is happening in our own backyards, across cities and towns in the United States. Vulnerable kids are being targeted, often unnoticed by the public.

“It’s not just overseas, but in our neighborhoods. It’s kids targeted because they’re vulnerable and a trafficker saw that,” he added.

Tebow’s message was a rallying cry for action. He encouraged others to join his foundation’s growing network of supporters, dubbed the “Defenders.” These are those who contribute monthly to help identify, protect, and care for those affected.

“Until all are free. Until all are loved. We will not stop,” he declared.

As the world marked the World Day Against Trafficking, Tebow reminded us that awareness must lead to action. His commitment is clear and he’s asking all of us to join him in the fight.
