See the CeeDee Lamb Post on George Pickens That Got Fans Talking

The Dallas Cowboys may have passed on drafting a wide receiver this year, but they didn’t stay quiet for long. Just days after the 2025 NFL Draft, Dallas shocked the league by acquiring George Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers. In return, the Cowboys gave up a 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 fifth-rounder, receiving Pickens and a 2027 sixth-round pick in return.

While the deal itself caused plenty of buzz, it was a social media post by CeeDee Lamb that really set things off. The Cowboys’ Instagram account shared a photo of Lamb and Pickens together postgame, alongside Lamb’s earlier cryptic tweet that many now believe hinted at the trade. It got fans buzzing.

Pickens and CeeDee Lamb – A Duo Built to Dominate

With 2,841 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns over three seasons, Pickens already had solid numbers in Pittsburgh. But now he joins a Dallas team with a much steadier quarterback situation and a playoff-or-bust mindset.

Pickens, speaking to CBS Sports’ Patrik Walker, expressed his excitement:

“It excites me a lot. In the game of football, we can work off of each other. And that’s why it comes back to building a winning culture.”

What makes this pairing even more intriguing is that Pickens and CeeDee Lamb aren’t strangers. The two wideouts reportedly share a strong personal bond, and that chemistry could translate into something special on the field. For the Cowboys, that means a dangerous one-two punch that defenses will struggle to contain.

And for Lamb, this might be the help he’s been waiting for. After carrying the receiving load in recent years, having a true WR2 in Pickens should free him up to make even more explosive plays.

Cowboys fans are already dreaming of deep playoff runs, and who can blame them? With a healthy Dak Prescott, an upgraded wide receiver core, and some offseason firepower, Dallas could be in for a serious 2025 resurgence.
