Prayers Pour In for LPGA Star After Scary Collapse at Evian Championship

LPGA Tour fans are sending their thoughts and prayers to one of the game’s brightest stars. Charley Hull, the 29-year-old British standout, suffered a frightening health scare during the Evian Championship in France on Thursday.

Hull, who has three second-place finishes in major championships, collapsed twice on the fourth tee during her round. According to Golfweek’s Beth Ann Nichols, she had been battling a virus and was forced to withdraw from the tournament after being taken off the course on a stretcher.

“Charley Hull forced to withdraw from the Evian after collapsing on the fourth tee twice. Golf Channel reporting that Hull has been suffering from a virus,” Nichols reported on X.

The news quickly spread across social media, prompting an outpouring of support from fans around the world:

  • “Hope she’s ok. 🙏🙏🙏,” one fan wrote.
  • “Best wishes to Charley Hull 🤕,” another added.
  • “Get well soon!” echoed many more.

Hull had been 1-under through 12 holes before the incident. After starting on the back nine and parring three straight holes, she was suddenly unable to continue, requiring 15 minutes of medical attention on the course.

Will Hull Be Ready for the British Open?

With the Women’s British Open just around the corner, scheduled to begin July 31—many are wondering if Hull will be healthy enough to compete. The British Open is not only a major tournament but also a hometown event for the fan-favorite golfer.

For now, the LPGA community is focused on Charley’s health and recovery. Updates are expected in the coming days, but one thing is clear: Hull has the full support of golf fans everywhere.

Our Prayers are with Charley Hull, you can leave yours as well.
