NASCAR: Noah Gragson Threatens Kyle Larson After Sonoma Spin

Gragson Fumes After Restart Collision with Larson

Things got heated quickly in the final stage of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway, and Noah Gragson was at the center of it.

After getting spun off Turn 3a on a restart, Gragson was fuming over the radio. Though initial replays suggested Josh Berry might have made contact, Gragson’s anger was clearly aimed at Kyle Larson.

“Tell Larson I’m coming,” Gragson shouted on team radio. “He spends too much [expletive] time hitting people.”

The comments, reported by NASCAR journalist Davey Segal, immediately added fuel to an already tense race filled with flared tempers and revenge threats.

Sonoma Turns Into a Wreck-Filled Drama Zone

Gragson wasn’t the only driver seeing red. Earlier in the race, Daniel Suárez vowed revenge on teammate Ross Chastain, and Ty Gibbs got so fired up at Chris Buescher that his pit crew clashed with Brad Keselowski’s team in one of the day’s wildest moments.

Although Gragson’s first spin didn’t trigger a caution, his day only got worse. With about 10 laps to go, he was spun again, this time right into traffic. Ryan Preece couldn’t avoid the mess and slammed into Gragson, creating a chain reaction that sent other cars spinning as well.

It was one of the few moments where Sonoma — a track known for calm, spread-out racing — erupted with chaos.

While the wrecks piled up, Shane van Gisbergen (SVG) kept pulling away from the field. He’s been dominant, but several drivers including Chase Briscoe, Chris Buescher, Christopher Bell, and William Byron have been lurking.

As the race winds down, the spotlight is split between Gragson’s boiling frustration, the battle to beat SVG, and whether NASCAR will need to step in if emotions spill over post-race.
