LeBron James Reacts to Jamie Foxx’s Speech at BET Awards

The 2025 BET Awards lit up the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Monday night, bringing together icons from the worlds of music, television, sports, and film. But while the red carpet was full of glitz and glamour, it was an emotional moment on stage that stole the show, and it left LeBron James feeling all the feels.

During the ceremony, legendary actor and comedian Jamie Foxx was honored with the “Ultimate Icon” award. But beyond the trophy, it was Foxx’s heartfelt acceptance speech that truly resonated. Recounting his terrifying medical ordeal, a brain bleed that led to a stroke in April 2023, Foxx revealed how he was unconscious for weeks and unsure if he’d ever return to the stage or screen.

“I watched an in memoriam reel and thought I was next,” Foxx admitted, bringing many in the audience to tears. “But God gave me a second chance.”

Among those touched by Foxx’s powerful message was Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, who quickly took to social media to salute his longtime friend.

“BET ‘ULTIMATE ICON’!! 🫡 Love my brother and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!” James posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Fans immediately flooded the replies, echoing the love and respect.
“Jamie Foxx is my new favorite actor. You’re so insightful @KingJames,” one user wrote.
Another simply said, “Fax King 💯.”

The post went viral, racking up over 48,000 views in no time.
Support poured in not just for Foxx’s triumphant return, but also for LeBron’s genuine admiration.

“Praying for you and your family’s health,” one fan replied to the NBA icon.
“Ring 5 this year GOAT,” another added, nodding to LeBron’s championship chase.

Foxx’s recovery journey has been both inspiring and emotional. For fans and fellow celebrities alike, his story is a reminder that strength isn’t just about talent, it’s also about resilience. And as LeBron’s response proves, when one icon lifts another, the world watches.
