‘I Got Both The Dogs’: Kelce’s Ex Subtly Throws Shade

Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, has revealed that she ended up with full responsibility for the dogs they once shared during their five-year relationship.

Speaking on her podcast, The Pre-Game, Nicole discussed pet co-parenting with guest Nazanin Mandi, who mentioned sharing custody of her cats with her ex-husband. That sparked Kayla to share her own experience.

“I have dogs with the previous partner, and I got both the dogs and I got both the dogs’ responsibility on me,” Nicole said. “I had a dog bill the other day that was $2,000. And I love my kids, but how did ya’ll come to that conclusion? Because that’s impressive.”

Nicole and Kelce dated on and off for several years after meeting on Instagram. During that time, they adopted two dogs, Chauncey and Rambo, who became part of their shared life. Now, Nicole is managing both pets on her own.

In the same podcast, she also pointed out how expensive pet care can be, saying, “$2,000? That’s a dog bill?!” The comment sparked reactions online, with many fans praising her for stepping up while others speculated it was a quiet jab at Kelce.

Public Scrutiny Post-Breakup

Though their relationship was rocky from the start, Nicole faced even greater scrutiny after Kelce began dating Taylor Swift. Despite having stayed largely silent about the breakup, Nicole has often been cast as the “bitter ex” in online discourse. A role she never asked for.

Meanwhile, Travis Kelce continues to enjoy a glow-up in the public eye, especially with Swift by his side. Swift attended multiple Chiefs games and was front and center at the 2024 Super Bowl, where Kelce’s team fell short of another championship.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Spotted in Philly

On a lighter note, Kelce and Swift were recently spotted in Philadelphia, and social media users believe they were visiting Kelce’s newborn niece. In late March, his brother Jason Kelce and sister-in-law Kylie welcomed their fourth child, Finnley.

The couple kept the visit low-key, skipping the fanfare and opting for privacy. It’s consistent with their recent trend of staying under the radar since February’s Super Bowl.

While Travis Kelce is making headlines for his romance with Swift, Kayla Nicole is holding it down quietly, with both dogs and all the vet bills. And maybe, just maybe, that says more than words ever could.
