Fever Star Breaks Franchise Record with Historic Performance

Fever’s Kelsey Mitchell Sets New Three-Point Record

Kelsey Mitchell gave Indiana Fever fans a bright moment on Wednesday, even as the team struggled against the New York Liberty. The veteran guard hit a major milestone in franchise history with her performance.

Indiana trailed 53-38 in the first half, but Mitchell stayed hot. She scored 13 points on 4-of-8 shooting and sank two of her four attempts from deep. That second triple made her the all-time leader in three-pointers for the Fever, surpassing Tamika Catchings.

FRANCHISE RECORD,” the Fever posted on X. “Kelsey Mitchell has passed Tamika Catchings for the most three-pointers made in franchise history with 607 and counting.”

Mitchell entered the game with 605 threes. She needed just two to break the record, and delivered early.

Mitchell also moved to 11th on the WNBA all-time three-point list, again passing Catchings. With 610 career triples, Jewell Loyd is next in line. Mitchell could crack the top 10 very soon.

Despite injury concerns surrounding Caitlin Clark, Mitchell’s consistency offers hope for the Fever’s future.
