Caitlin Clark Throws Shade at Other WNBA Teams
“No one likes us,” said Sophie Cunningham recently, and with that, the Indiana Fever seemed to embrace their new identity. WNBA villains. With Caitlin Clark’s spotlight, a retooled lineup, and rising expectations, Indiana started the season under pressure and without many friends.
It wasn’t smooth sailing. DeWanna Bonner walked, injuries stacked up, and the league’s toughest schedule kept the heat on. Still, the Fever held firm. And on the league’s biggest night, they delivered a statement win—even without their star on the floor.
Fever Dominate Without Clark on the Court
In the 2025 Commissioner’s Cup final, the Fever crushed the Minnesota Lynx 74-59. They held the Lynx to season-lows in both points and shooting percentage (35.7%). Natasha Howard stole the show with 16 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and MVP honors.
Though sidelined with a groin injury, Clark was the loudest voice on the bench. Celebrating with teammates, pouring champagne into the trophy, and leading the locker room vibes.
But it was what she said that sent fans into a frenzy.
“I Just Know Everybody in the League Is SICK”
While teammates like Aliyah Boston were dancing on Instagram Live, Clark’s off-camera comment stole the show:
“I just know everybody in the league is SICK.”
That single line instantly became a Fever fan anthem. Some saw it as classic trash talk. Others, a flex. Either way, it lit up social media and confirmed that Clark and Indiana aren’t shying away from the spotlight.
