Caitlin Clark Gives Savage Response After Intense Fever Win Over Sun

Clark Keeps Cool After Physical Battle vs. Sun

Caitlin Clark has officially silenced the doubters, if any remained.

Coming off a 32-point performance in a statement win over the defending champion New York Liberty, the Indiana Fever rookie followed it up Tuesday night with a gritty 20-point, 6-assist effort to lead her team past the Connecticut Sun.

But it wasn’t just the scoreboard making headlines; it was the physicality. And Clark had just two words to say afterward.

A Physical Game and a Poised Response

The game featured multiple technical fouls and a level of playoff-like intensity. In the third quarter, Jacy Sheldon poked Clark in the eye, prompting a frustrated shove in response. Moments later, Marina Mabrey escalated things further, shoving Clark to the floor. The incident earned Mabrey a technical and Sheldon a flagrant-1. Caitlin Clark responded by calmly sinking all three free throws, stretching the Fever’s lead to double digits.

Later, Sheldon, Lindsay Allen, and Sophie Cunningham were ejected in a separate altercation.

Fever On the Rise

Despite the chaos, Indiana came out on top, 88–71. They improved to 6-5 on the season, fueled by a strong supporting cast. Kelsey Mitchell dropped 17 points, and Natasha Howard posted a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Clark’s two-word tweet came in response to a fan asking, “You like that?” Her answer, short, sweet, and full of swagger, captured the mood perfectly. “I do.”
