Angel Reese Flips ‘Mebounds’ Hate Into Profit

Reese Turns Insult Into Business Gold

Angel Reese isn’t just a force on the court, she’s also showing serious business savvy off it. The Chicago Sky rookie recently filed a trademark for “mebounds”, turning a common online insult into a potential six-figure brand.

Critics have been all over Reese’s game this season, especially pointing out that all she seems to do is grab rebounds. But instead of letting the trolls get to her, she’s flipping the narrative, and cashing in.

“If it’s off the board, it’s mine”

In a viral TikTok video, Reese broke down the brilliance of embracing the hate:

“Whoever came up with the ‘mebounds’ thing, y’all ate that up… because ‘mebounds’, rebounds, crebounds, anything that comes off that board, it’s mine.”
She then added with a smirk, “And a brand? That’s six figures right there.”

It’s clear Reese isn’t bothered by the noise. Instead, she’s feeding off it. “The trolling? I love when y’all do it because, like, the ideas be good,” she said. “When y’all came up with ‘mebounds’… y’all ate.”

Trademark Move Shows Star-Level Thinking

According to reports, a trademark application was filed under the goods and services category. That means we might soon see “mebounds” apparel or merchandise hit the market, giving fans (and haters) a front-row seat to one of the best clapbacks of the season.

Reese also made it clear in her video that while she doesn’t take all the trolling seriously, she recognizes good branding when she sees it. The phrase might’ve started as shade, but now it’s a symbol of her dominance on the boards, and a growing empire off of them.

Not Just a Player—A Brand

At just 23 years old, Angel Reese is putting on a masterclass in how to own your narrative. She’s not just embracing her role as a rebound queen—she’s making it profitable. Turning social media negativity into business opportunity? That’s a power move.

Whether or not people agree with her game, one thing is clear: Angel Reese knows exactly how to keep a bag.
