Angel Reese just added a new nickname to her growing list, and this one comes straight from the WNBA.
In Sunday’s 78–66 win over the Connecticut Sun, Reese recorded her first career triple-double. She becomes just the second player this season to hit that mark. The Chicago Sky rookie posted 11 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists, helping her team snap a three-game losing streak and improve to 3–7 on the season.

The WNBA wasted no time celebrating the moment. On their official social media, the league dubbed Reese: “Triple-Double Barbie.” It’s a fitting title for the player already known as “Bayou Barbie” and “Chi Barbie,” reflecting her flair, confidence, and impact on the court.
Reese has been a standout since her college days and continues to make waves in her second WNBA season. After finishing her rookie campaign averaging a double-double, she’s still dominating the boards. Averaging 11.8 rebounds per game this season along with 10.3 points, 2.7 assists, and 1.6 steals.
Chicago may be struggling in the standings, sitting 5th in the East and 11th overall, but with stars like Angel Reese showing out, the future looks bright. And now, the league has made it official: Triple-Double Barbie has arrived.
