Aliyah Boston Joins WNBA Elite with Historic Milestone vs. Liberty

Aliyah Boston Makes WNBA History

Despite missing Caitlin Clark for the 12th time this season, Aliyah Boston gave Indiana Fever fans something to celebrate Tuesday night.

Facing off against Breanna Stewart and the New York Liberty, Aliyah Boston reached a major career milestone. With 3:33 remaining in the first quarter, she scored on a 3-foot layup assisted by Kelsey Mitchell, notching her 1,500th career point.

At just 23 years and 224 days, Boston became the third-youngest player in WNBA history to reach 1,500 points. Only Seimone Augustus (23 years, 111 days) and Lauren Jackson (22 years, 93 days) hit the mark faster.

Boston Continues Strong 2025 Campaign

Aliyah Boston’s achievement also puts her ahead of WNBA legend Tina Charles, who reached 1,500 points at 23 years and 257 days.

Now in her third WNBA season, the former South Carolina standout has continued to shine. She earned her third All-Star selection this year and made her first All-Star start. Through 23 games, she’s averaging:

  • 15.6 points per game (career high)
  • 56.3% shooting
  • 7.6 rebounds
  • 3.7 assists

The Fever remain without Caitlin Clark, who re-injured her groin prior to All-Star weekend and missed her second straight game. Her status remains unclear heading into Thursday’s matchup against the Las Vegas Aces.

With Caitlin Clark sidelined, Aliyah Boston continues to anchor Indiana’s offense, proving she’s not just a rising star, but a cornerstone player with the stats to back it up.
