It’s no secret that actors make a ton of money from their roles on the big (and small) screen. These fifteen actors, however, have raked far more cash than anyone else in their profession this year. From newcomers to veteran faces, these are the fifteen highest-paid actors in Hollywood (right now).
Tom Hardy
Tom Hardy has been busy ever since his noteworthy roles in Nolan films like Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, and Dunkirk. He’s most recently been Eddie Brock in the Venom series. He’s set to reprise the character in Venom: The Last Dance, to the tune of $20 million!
Emma Stone
Emma Stone has been a huge movie star since her role as Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man. Her best work yet came in La La Land, which was nominated for Best Picture. This year, for her role as Bella Baxter in Poor Things, she earned $22.5 million and an Academy Award for Best Actress.
Denzel Washington
Are you surprised to hear that Denzel Washington is still raking in the money? The Equalizer star earned around $20 million from his role in the third film of the franchise in 2023. That, combined with residuals from other films he’s been involved with, have seen him earn around $24 million in the past year.
Will Smith
Like clockwork, Will Smith continues to make big bucks in Hollywood. Just for his role in the Bad Boys sequel, Ride or Die, Smith earned $25 million. This pales in comparison to some other paydays he’s earned, like the $100 million he got for Men in Black 3, but things haven’t been quite as lucrative for Smith following his assault of Chris Rock.
Brad Pitt
Another Hollywood lifer, Brad Pitt has a few things coming out in 2024. For just his role as Sonny Hayes in an upcoming Joseph Kosinski Formula 1 movie, Pitt is slated to earn $30 million. That’s not including whatever he makes from his role in Wolfs, due out later this year.
Ben Affleck
The Hollywood long-timers keep coming. Ben Affleck starred in Air in 2023 and is also the face of a Dunkin Donuts ad campaign. This, coupled with his role as the CEO of Artists Equity, means he’s taken down at least $38 million in the past twelve months.
Jason Statham
It’s hard to believe Statham once made ends meet by selling fake handbags on London street corners, huh? The ruggedly handsome actor starred in Fast X, The Expend4bles, and Meg 2 in 2023, and The Beekeeper in 2024. Since he’s been so busy, he’s brought in at least $41 million in the last year.
Leonardo DiCaprio
The leading man of a generation, Leo just keeps getting the big roles and the big paychecks. In the last year, he starred in Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, earning him some $41 million. And, oh yeah, he’s got plenty of projects on the horizon, too.
Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston stays paid in Hollywood. She gets $2 million every time she films an episode of The Morning Show for Apple TV+, and she shoots ten episodes per season with them. Quick math says that, plus the $20 million per year she makes on Friends royalties (yes, seriously) and whatever she got paid for her role in Murder Mystery 2 means she made about $42 million in the past year. Whew!
Matt Damon
The familiar faces keep rolling in this list. Matt Damon has been a leading man for over two decades, and recently started Artists Equity with Ben Affleck. He also had a role in Oppenheimer as Leslie Groves, earning a comparatively modest $4 million. That, combined with his earnings from Artists Equity, saw him bring in around $43 million this year.
Ryan Gosling
Ryan Gosling has a certain charm about him that makes him hard to pin down. He pulled in a huge paycheck in 2023 for his role as Ken in Barbie, and his song “I’m Just Ken” has been a massive hit on music streaming platforms.
Tom Cruise
When has Tom Cruise not been one of the biggest earners in Hollywood? The longtime leading man gets very rare “first-dollar gross” deals, meaning he gets a cut of the box office on his movies the day they hit theaters. With his recent Mission Impossible movie, that means he’s earned somewhere around $45 million in the past year.
Dwayne Johnson
What is the Rock cooking? Really whatever he wants, since he made $50 million last year. Yeah, the guy just starred in Black Adam, he’s got Red One coming up in November, and he’s still trying to make the XFL happen. He’s a busy man with countless programs always spinning up.

She’s Harley Quinn, she’s Barbie, she’s absolutely loaded, even by Hollywood standards. Margot Robbie earned $59 million in the past year, due in large part to her role as a producer for Barbie, which took in nearly one and a half billion dollars.

Adam Sandler
Are you surprised to hear that Adam Sandler, of all people, is having the biggest 2024 in Hollywood? He signed a $250 million deal with Netflix in 2014, and three movies from that deal hit the streamer in 2023. He’s also been touring his comedy act this year, so he’s earned somewhere in the range of $73 million this year.
