Bob’s Burgers is an adult comedy, so it makes sense that some of the jokes will go over kids’ heads. However, the show was going to be way darker than it ended up being. The creator, Loren Bouchard, wanted to have the show be about a family of cannibals who worked at a restaurant that helped conceal their secret diet. Fox deemed the idea a bit too dark and we got the toned-down yet hilarious Belcher family that we know and love today.

Tina Belcher is Bob and Linda’s oldest daughter, who is quite a character. But did you know that Tina was originally supposed to be a boy named Daniel? Daniel had the same vibes as Tina, but it seems he didn’t stand out as much as she does. We are quite lucky they made the decision to change Tina’s gender, because she is one of the best characters on the show.

It’s good for us that they record their lines together, because the banter on the show is always perfectly timed.
