Former Olympian snowboarder Shaun White made an appearance before the opening ceremony alongside well-known TV actress Nina Dobrev. White made a name for himself with a stellar showing at the 2006 Winter Olympics, winning gold in the snowboarding half-pipe event.

Singer Ariana Grande has been busy lately, as she plans to appear in an adaptation of the musical Wicked soon.
