LiAngelo Ball Files for Divorce Just Days After Wife Reveals Pregnancy

LiAngelo Ball is making headlines off the court once again, this time for a whirlwind personal development that’s left fans stunned.

According to TMZ, the 25-year-old former basketball player has filed for divorce from influencer Rashida Nicole, just over three months after their March 24 wedding. The filing came on July 3, and lists “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. Notably, the separation date is listed as July 15. Which is a little over two weeks before Rashida announced that she’s pregnant.

Rashida took to Instagram recently to share her pregnancy journey, calling it a mix of emotions: “grateful, terrified, anxious, nauseous, HANGRY, all of the above.” She also thanked her daughter from a previous relationship for supporting her during the transition.

Ball commented on the post with heart and lock emojis. Further adding to the confusion around the divorce filing.

LiAngelo Ball Complicated Past

This isn’t the first time Ball has faced scrutiny over his personal relationships. He previously had two children with reality star Nikki Mudarris. And she publicly accused him of leaving her shortly after the birth of their second child. Mudarris claimed Ball abruptly ended their 3.5-year relationship to be with someone else, saying on Instagram:

“Last week he decided to walk out on his kids and tell me he got someone else pregnant.”

Unlike his brothers, Lonzo (Bulls) and LaMelo Ball (Hornets), LiAngelo has struggled to break into the NBA. He spent time with the Charlotte Hornets’ G-League affiliate from 2021 to 2023 but never made an official league debut.

Instead, Ball has pivoted to music, gaining traction earlier this year with his single “Tweaker”, which was later remixed by Lil Wayne.
