Angel Reese Opens Up About Playing with Caitlin Clark on WNBA All-Star

No Bad Blood Between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark

When the WNBA officially named Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier as All-Star Game captains, fans immediately asked the big question. Will Angel Reese join Clark’s squad again?

Despite media buzz about a rivalry, Angel Reese made it clear she’s all in. The Chicago Sky rookie, who starred alongside Clark during Team WNBA’s win over Team USA, had only good things to say. After Clark dished out 10 assists in that game, many of them to Reese, the 22-year-old forward said;

“When [Clark] gets the ball, I’m running looking for it because I know she’s gonna throw it… She’s been great to play with.”

Clark-Reese Connection Sparked All-Star Buzz

In the pre-Olympic exhibition, Clark struggled from the field but still facilitated with poise, while Reese posted a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double in just 20 minutes. The performance made her the first rookie to record a double-double in that game.

Clark predicted Reese would lead the game in boards, and she did, edging Breanna Stewart by one rebound. The performance strengthened fan hopes that these two will be All-Star teammates again and maybe even future Olympians. “Hopefully in four years, we’ll be Olympians together,” Reese added.

Draft Strategy and What Comes Next

Clark admitted she’s still fuzzy on how the All-Star Game draft works but made her strategy clear: “Obviously, I’m going to try to get my teammates on my team. Why wouldn’t I?”

With Reese likely to be announced as a reserve on July 6, the possibility of a Clark-Reese All-Star reunion remains alive. Whether or not they team up, both remain on track for long-term WNBA greatness and possibly, Team USA in Los Angeles 2028.
