Angel Reese Shows Class, Praises Teammate After Sky Win

Cardoso’s Career-High Leads Sky Past Sparks

The Chicago Sky snapped a three-game skid emphatically, taking down the Los Angeles Sparks 97–86. The win pushed Chicago and Angel Reese to a 4-10 record and lifted them into the No. 10 seed in the WNBA standings, just ahead of the Sparks.

The story of the night? Kamilla Cardoso. The rookie center exploded for a career-high 27 points, adding 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks in a dominant performance that showcased her post presence and rising star power.

Angel Reese Reacts to Big Night from Her Teammate

After the game, fellow rookie sensation Angel Reese wasted no time giving Cardoso her flowers. Taking to X, Reese posted:

“BIG MILL NOT THE LITTLE,” referring to Cardoso by her nickname, “Mill.”

She followed it up with several Instagram stories, reposting highlights and photos of Cardoso’s big night to her 5+ million followers, further cementing their bond and hyping the moment.

Reese also shared the Sky’s “Player of the Game” graphic featuring Cardoso, clearly proud of her frontcourt teammate.

Reese Shines as Well in Statement Win

While Cardoso stole the headlines, Reese also delivered. She posted 18 points, 17 rebounds, and 6 assists, putting up one of her best all-around games of the season.

Together, Reese and Cardoso are proving to be one of the league’s most promising young duos. Both entered the WNBA via the 2024 Draft, and their chemistry has quickly become a major bright spot for a Sky team on the rise.

The future is looking brighter in Chicago, and “Big Mill” and “Bayou Barbie” are leading the way.
