Indiana Fever Turn Heads With Aliyah Boston’s Franchise Milestone

Despite a tough 77-58 loss to Brittney Griner and the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday night, the Indiana Fever had a reason to celebrate; Aliyah Boston made history.

The Fever’s third-year forward passed Jessica Davenport to move into fifth place on the franchise’s all-time blocks list, notching her 113th career block during the game.

A Milestone Amid Struggles

The defeat marked Indiana’s fifth straight loss and dropped them to 4-5 on the season. They were once again without Caitlin Clark, who remains sidelined due to injury. Without their leading scorer and playmaker, the Fever struggled offensively, and Boston’s individual effort stood out amid the slump.

Boston tallied seven points, four rebounds, five assists, and one block in the game. Although her scoring numbers were below her season average of 15.3 points, the historic block solidified her legacy within the franchise.

“Moving up,” the Fever’s official account posted. “Congratulations to Aliyah Boston on moving into fifth place on our franchise’s all-time blocks list.

Fever Fans React Online

Reactions from fans were mixed, but many celebrated Boston’s defensive milestone:

  • “Wahoo! Congrats AB!!!” one fan wrote.
  • “YEAH AB,” said another.
  • “Amazing work Aliyah,” added one more.

However, not all feedback was positive. Some frustrated fans vented after the loss:

  • “She sucks! 7 points in 30 minutes tonight.”
  • “Leaving here with something,” one fan sarcastically commented.

As the Fever try to bounce back from their losing streak, Boston’s consistent contributions on both ends remain crucial, especially while Clark is out. Her leadership and defensive presence continue to provide a steady foundation during a turbulent stretch for the team.
