Aaron Judge Reaches Historic Milestone Set in 1948

Aaron Judge continues to make history in the Bronx.

Through his first 60 games of the 2025 MLB season, the Yankees captain has compiled 88 hits and 41 walks, matching a rare feat last accomplished by Ted Williams in 1948. That season, the Red Sox legend posted 91 hits and 64 walks over the same stretch, and no one had come close to replicating those numbers in 76 years.

A Legendary Pace in a Pitcher’s Era

Reported by Greg Harvey via Stats Perform, Judge’s combination of contact and patience isn’t just impressive, it’s historic. In an era dominated by elite pitching, Judge has become the rare slugger who combines raw power with elite plate discipline.

Where others chase, Judge waits. But where others guess, he calculates.

“Mr Consistent”

This isn’t a fluke or a hot streak. Judge’s offensive brilliance has been remarkably steady from Day 1 of the 2025 season. Every at-bat seems part of a greater plan. Each walk is earned, and each swing carries weight.

It’s the kind of sustained dominance that reminds fans of the game’s true greats. Bonds, Trout, Pujols, none matched this particular combo of hits and walks through 60 games. Only Ted Williams. And now, Aaron Judge.

The Face of the Yankees and MLB

Judge’s impact goes beyond the stat sheet. He sets the tone for the Yankees lineup and commands the respect of every pitcher he faces. But His calm presence and booming bat are driving New York through the thick of the AL East race.

When the Judge is locked in, the Yankees become a different team, energized, focused, and dangerous.

As baseball history continues to be written, Judge’s name now shares space with Ted Williams, and that’s not a coincidence. Whether it’s a signal that we’re witnessing something rare and special in the 2025 season.
