Cam Ward Gets No Primetime Love? Kyle Brandt Says It’s Flat-Out Disrespect

Cam Ward, the No.1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, is already making headlines—but not for his performance. According to NFL Network analyst Kyle Brandt, Ward’s complete absence from the primetime schedule is a major sign of disrespect, not only to the young quarterback but also to the Tennessee Titans franchise.

“My takeaway is the Titans have zero Prime Time games, zero,” Kyle Brandt said. “And I’d like to say I can’t believe it, but I can completely believe it, because this is not only a franchise routinely disrespected. Cam Ward is by far the most overlooked, underrepresented, disrespected No.1 overall pick quarterback in my lifetime.”

“Understand this, Cam Ward, who is big and strong, and cool and friendly, and professional, and has a very interesting back story, is getting nothing. You will not see him in prime time because he’s the quarterback of the Titans.”

Brandt emphasized that the Titans have zero primetime games this season. That means no Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, or Thursday Night Football appearances, something almost unheard of for a team with a rookie quarterback chosen first overall.

Why Is Primetime So Important?

Primetime games are more than just bright lights and national exposure. They are crucial for branding, endorsement opportunities, and shaping a quarterback’s early narrative. Ward missing out on those moments means less visibility, fewer highlight reels, and possibly, a slower climb to household-name status.

Teams with elite rookie quarterbacks often benefit from early-season primetime matchups, where fans and critics can witness greatness unfolding. Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawrence, and Kyler Murray all got early-stage primetime exposure. Cam Ward? Not a single one.

Why Was Cam Ward the No.1 Draft Pick?

Ward’s draft stock skyrocketed thanks to his mix of arm talent, mobility, and leadership. He’s big, strong, and charismatic, everything you’d want in a franchise QB. The Titans believed in him enough to make him their guy. But if the NFL schedule is any indication, the league isn’t buying in just yet.

Whether it’s disrespect or just bad timing, one thing’s for sure: Cam Ward will have to earn his spotlight the hard way.
