Why Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Is Ditching Her Wig to Perform Bald

Armani Latimer, a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, recently revealed why she stopped wearing a wig during performances. Responding to a fan on Instagram Stories, she explained,

“I’ve done Alopecia Awareness as my MCMB for the past few years and knew I was going to do it again this season.”

Latimer shared that she felt a strong pull to do more.

“I kept getting a tug on my heart to spread awareness, but didn’t know how yet. Then I kept hearing a voice telling me to dance without my wig. When I finally stopped ignoring that feeling and prayed about it, the decision was pretty much made!”

Living with alopecia since childhood, Latimer has experienced firsthand the challenges of this autoimmune condition, which causes hair loss by attacking hair follicles. Alopecia can cause patchy or complete hair loss on the scalp, eyebrows, eyelashes, and body hair.

By choosing to perform bald, Latimer aims to break stereotypes around beauty and show others living with alopecia that confidence shines brighter than any wig. Her bold move highlights the importance of visibility and empowerment in the face of societal pressures.

Dallas Cowboys Named “Biggest Loser” of 2025 Schedule Release

The Dallas Cowboys face one of the toughest schedules in NFL history in 2025, earning the label of the “biggest loser” of the schedule release. Ranked with the fifth-hardest schedule, the team will play six consecutive games against teams that won 11 or more games last season.

The grueling stretch kicks off in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles and includes a Thanksgiving Day game versus the Kansas City Chiefs. The Cowboys will also play four Thursday games, an NFL record, including matchups against the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Chargers, and Washington Commanders around the holiday season.

These six teams combined for an impressive 81-21 record last year, making this one of the most challenging schedules ever. Analysts warn this could threaten Dallas’ playoff chances, but under head coach Brian Schottenheimer, the Cowboys have a chance to prove their resilience and emerge battle-tested.
