As the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, several teams are under immense pressure to make the most of their picks. These franchises have significant gaps in their rosters and need to address these deficiencies to improve their chances of success in the upcoming season.
Here are ten teams that desperately need to nail the 2025 draft:
1. Tennessee Titans
The Titans have the first overall pick and are in dire need of a franchise quarterback. They also require two interior offensive linemen, a wide receiver, a linebacker, an edge rusher, a safety, and a kicker. With so many needs, the Titans must make every pick count.
2. Cleveland Browns
Despite having Deshaun Watson under contract, the Browns need a new quarterback due to Watson’s uncertain status for 2025. They also require a tight end and additional weapons for their offense. The Browns’ passing game was dismal in 2024, and they need significant upgrades.
3. Seattle Seahawks
After trading Geno Smith and signing Sam Darnold, the Seahawks need to think about their offensive line for next season, which was among the worst in the NFL last year. Additional needs include a cornerback, linebacker, defensive end, and edge rusher.
4. Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons need to bolster their cornerback position with both an outside and slot corner. They also require an edge rusher and a nose tackle. With Drew Dalman leaving, they need to secure their center position as well.
5. Detroit Lions
The Lions need to improve their cornerback corps, especially with Carlton Davis leaving. They also require a defensive end to replace lost production and a defensive tackle to support Alim McNeill, who is recovering from an ACL injury.
6. Washington Commanders
The Commanders need to bolster their receiving corps beyond Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel, and they also require an edge rusher and defensive tackle to strengthen their defense.
